Barnaby, Grace, and Pip were three dried cod hanging by the sea. A fierce storm snapped their lines, tossing them into the ocean. In the salty water, a miracle happened: they absorbed the waves, turning soft and flexible again. Just as they swam free, a killer whale named Shadow snapped them up. But months of drying made them tough. Shadow bit Barnaby, found he tasted like a rubbery, salty boot, and spat him out. Disgusted, the whale left, and the trio hid safely in a rock crevice.
